Dear Fellow Seeker of God:
Greetings in the loving and redeeming
Name of the Lord Jesus Christ! We welcome you to The River. Thank you for taking the time to read through the pages on this
site. We trust you will find this website both useful and informative.
Our
fellowship of believers at The River are a small part of the greater
Body of Christ worldwide. We see the advancement of the Kingdom of God
as the main thing God is doing today. (Matt. 28:19 / 1 Tim. 2:4) We are a
participating part of the city-church here in this area. We believe
unity is crucial before revival. (Psa. 133 / John 17: 20-26 / Phil. 2:2
/ Eph. 4:1-5) Covenant love and biblical unity within the body
has been destroyed by the enemy. These foundational characteristics must
be restored. Among other things, we are about their restoration.
At The River, we are endeavoring to
love Jesus and desire to see Him glorified in all that we do. (1 Cor.
10:31) We bring
glory to Him by being transformed into His image. We love to see Jesus
transform people, restore families, redeem our past and our relationships.

Spirit) These pages could not hold the numerous testimonies of
all that Jesus has done
amongst us. We have seen families on the brink of total destruction,
where fear, anger and mistrust has ruled the day - be transformed into a
healthy family, where love, joy and peace permeate their home. Thank God for new births and second chances! No matter what
your situation is today, God is ready to help – if you are ready to
open your heart to Jesus, ask
Him and receive!
As stated in Romans, the earth is
filled with individuals who are "predestined" to be "transformed" into
Christ's image. "For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the
image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren."
Rom 8:29-30 NKJV The harvest is about finding these people
who are "seeking" after God in their heart. Maybe you are a seeker....
if so... read on.
We are a fellowship of
intergenerational House Churches called Living Streams that meet
regularly during the week and on the weekend. You don’t know the
River unless you visit a couple of our House Churches. These
intergenerational family home gatherings are the foundation of all gatherings at
The River. We believe that intergenerational Christianity (that is all
the generations living life together) is the preferred wineskin for the
transmission of our faith from one generation to the next. (Deut. 6: 4-8
/ Mal. 2: 15 / Mal. 4:5-6 / Eph. 6:4) We also believe that the home is the center of Christian
nurture and our redemptive lives here on earth. (1 Tim. 3:5)
We encourage everyone to participate in
a small group. (Living Streams...) When small groups of believers
gather in the Name of Jesus, under the authority of scripture and allow
for the power of the Holy Spirit, Christ-like transformation is the
result. Our prayer at The River is that our communities will be transformed,
one person and one home at a time. As the families are strengthened, the
church becomes strong and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.

The House Churches meet for our larger
corporate weekend gathering every Saturday night at 6:00pm at
Centerpoint Church located at 2369 Royal Ave., Simi Valley,
CA. (1/2 mile west of Sycamore) We are grateful for our supportive and
mutually beneficial relationship with Pastor Steve Pope and the
congregation at Centerpoint Church.
Additionally, the pastors of Simi
Valley have gathered together for almost 10 years now to pray for this
city. This group is known as the Praying Pastors. We meet every
Wednesday at 12:00noon to pray that God would bless this city with a
powerful move of His Spirit. Membership and participation in gatherings
of the city-church have impacted our fellowship for Jesus in ways that
cannot be measured. Our heart is to be in fellowship with and bless
everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord Jesus with a sincere heart
and who walks in humble obedience to His Word.
